More Than a Business. A Life Built Around Dogs.

Stohner Kennels was built on a simple belief: every dog deserves patient, consistent training and exceptional care.

Located on 11 acres just outside Rockwall in Poetry, Texas, our facility was designed to give dogs the space to learn, explore, and thrive in a safe, structured environment. Whether your dog is staying for boarding, beginning obedience training, or preparing for hunting season, our goal is always the same, to help every dog reach its full potential while giving owners confidence and peace of mind.

Meet Scott

I've always enjoyed working with dogs. There's nothing more rewarding than seeing a dog start to understand what's being asked of them and watching that confidence grow over time.

Every dog that comes here is different. Some need more patience, some need a different approach, and some just need someone to take the time to communicate with them in a way they understand. That's what I enjoy most about training.

Whether your dog is here for obedience, boarding, or hunting dog training, they're going to be treated like one of my own. My goal is to send home a dog that's more confident, more reliable, and more enjoyable to live with while making sure you have the knowledge to continue that progress after training is complete.

I don't measure success by how many dogs come through my kennel. I measure it by the relationships people have with their dogs after they leave.
